Random Guy Got Me Into Poetry

I was on the bus one day and the guy next to me introduced himself as Lyle Petit from Ocala, Florida. He struck up a conversation when he mentioned Spoken Word New York and poetry. I was surprised: I wouldn’t have guess anyone else in Florida would have known about it, but I guess I was wrong, It’s a good thing, because I heard about it and thought, “Maybe poetry isn’t so bad after all”. The way Lyle described it, it was a hobby of great fun and enjoyment. I decided to try it one day, and went over to the site.
