Does traffic school lower insurance costs?

Ever since I had to take that online traffic school course for my traffic violation, I’ve been wondering if my completion certifcate can serve any other purposes. It seems like my car insurance company would be glad that I took a course to improve my defensive driving skills, so I’m wondering if they would give me some sort of break on my insurance premiums. I’m hoping that they will.

Anyone have any clue about this?
