Why The College Professor Said I Should Learn Magic Tricks

I took a course a community college recently in public speaking. I had read an article on the Internet that said public speaking was likely the quickest way to boost your confidence in a bunch of different ways. It was interesting the way the professor taught the course. He started every class with a couple of simple card tricks. He said that if you really wanted to get good at public speaking, you should learn magic tricks. That way you’d have a ready made excuse to walk up to any group of people and start talking. He said that normally if somebody walks up to a group of people and starts talking, they’ll think he’s a salesman or something. But if you do magic tricks, you’ll get their attention as long as you can do magic.
