A way to make a room comfortable

The lounge in my house is a very big room, with very large patio windows at the far end. For the most part these are a great architectural feature, because they keep the room very bright even doing the middle of winter when there is usually not much sunlight. However, during the middle of summer it can be a problem, especially when the sunlight is strong, because the room can become too bright. In order to cope with this problem I decided to buy some expensive Remote Control Shades, an idea I got from a friend who had already installed some in her kitchen. Now I can control the light accurately, making sure that the light level in the room is always at the optimum level no matter the weather.
