Our Adopted Korean Baby Is Allergic to Milk

February 19th, 2010 by admin

We adopted a beautiful little Korean baby last year. She was only three months old when she arrived and had already been introduced to a brand of formula that worked for her. When it was time to switch to cow’s milk, we were surprised to see her skin become red and itchy almost immediately. It began to look very much like she was showing milk allergy symptoms. I took her to our family doctor who confirmed our suspicions. We don’t know if this is temporary or she will outgrow it as an adult. It does make life a lot more complicated, but we wouldn’t trade her for a million dollars.
