How do i delete my facebook account?

All i wanted to know was how do i delete my facebook account? Sounds easy right? Not quite! I managed to get the account deleted after 8 weeks of trying. I’d spent about a week looking for a contact number or a human to speak with that could help me but i wasn’t able to find one, then the next 7 weeks were spent emailing Facebook and asking them to close my account. It should not have to be made so difficult to leave any orginisation let alone a free social networking site. Beware all users, as i have been informed that the process of cancelliing an account with any of the main social networking sites is equally as hard as Facebook.
