Traditions in Marriage
February 8th, 2010 by admin
Turkish wedding ceremonies differ quite a bit from American ones, and we plan to combine the best of both. We won’t have a wedding party, but we will have witnesses. InTurkish weddings, the bride and groom will walk down the aisle without any preamble, but are accompanied with brilliant fireworks, then sit down at a table and sign a marriage contract. For our wedding, we’d like a little more ritual than that. Both Turkish and American weddings highlight the bride and groom’s first dance, but afterward we’ll visit each guest and collect gold coins, Turkey style. We’re thrilled and feel very, very incredibly lucky to have an immensely talented and funny photographer flying in for just the occasion, to photograph our wedding with her highly acclaimed new york wedding photojournalism approach.

Card Blanks and Envelopes for my new hobby
February 7th, 2010 by admin
Since watching a good friend of mine making greeting cards I decided that I wanted to try doing it as well. Because I didn’t have any supplies of my own, I asked my friend if she could help me do a list to ensure that I’d have every thing that I needed. She said that she would and began generating a summary of stuff I would probably need. Later on that day I visited the local craft shop and got every thing that was on the list along with a number of nice card blanks and envelopes. I definitely need to make a special thank you card and post it to my friend as she has been so helpful. I’m sure that will be my first of numerous projects given that I have all of the supplies that I will require.

Photographer Joe Rosenthal
January 25th, 2010 by admin
Joe Rosenthal was a frustrated soldier. Due to his nearsightedness, his application to join the Army and Navy were both denied. Determined, however, to serve his country, he decided to join the U.S. Maritime Service as a photographer assigned to take pictures of the convoys in the Atlantic. This was a turning point in Rosenthal’s career because he developed a passion for war photography. After returning to the Associated Press, Rosenthal dedicated his work to covering battles in the Pacific. One of the biggest contributions Rosenthal made as an artist, placing him among the ranks of the greatest photographers, was his work entitled, “Flag Raising Over Iwo Jima.” This was photo was captured in Feb. 23, 1945, and won the Pulitzer Prize for Photography the same year. For many milton keynes photographers getting into photography has been a turning point.

Will Learn to Sing Resources Teach Me to Sing?
January 19th, 2010 by admin
There are many factors that go into someone being a successful singer. One of the most important of these factors is the gathering of knowledge. Learn how to sing guides are all over the place, you just need to know where to look. If you have the money, you might think about hiring a tutor. These people are singing experts and will have a ton of knowledge to share with you. They can be expensive though. If you do not have the money, you can still find resources to use. Books and DVD’s are good alternatives, and even the internet has a lot of singing lessons on it.

Many orchid plants
January 13th, 2010 by admin
Most orchid roots are adapted to being exposed to air and harsh conditions, but cannot tolerate being wet for more than a day or two. Some orchids are even grown in pebbles mixed with bark. Both materials are sometimes mixed with peat and perlite or vermiculite. Fresh pine bark is also a popular medium but is usually mixed with other amendments before use. The tough, wiry fibers break down very slowly and is an ideal orchid delivery potting medium. This fiber comes from the roots of the Osmunda fern that is native to Australia and the Pacific. Many orchid plants are grown in osmunda fiber. The overall consideration is to provide structural support for the orchid roots, but also to provide lots of air spaces between medium particles.

File Sharing Is Getting Easier and Easier
January 7th, 2010 by admin
Joan and I love to share our photos. We were looking for a site to make it easy to download and share the tons of photos we have. Someone told us about a new download site where we can share files easily. The name of the file sharing site is called ares. It is very fast once you download the program. We really like it a lot and plan to use it very frequently. We are both into photography and we like to check each others work and give each other feedback. We feel we can be better photographers that way. This is a great site to do this with.

Surprising My Father With Tabla Drums
January 3rd, 2010 by admin
My mother and I decided to surprise my father with tabla drums. It was our Christmas gift to him. My dad loves to play different instruments. He used to be a musician, but he had to stop when he got a good job offer from a huge company. He still takes the time to play with different instruments though, and my mom and I found out that he knows how to play the tabla. When we gave it to Dad, he was so happy. He told us that it is the best gift that he received for a very long time.
