Use Quicken Reminders to Reorder Laser Checks

September 4th, 2010 by admin

When did your laser checks supply get so low and how come you didn’t notice sooner? It’s all too easy to get carried away with your work and not notice the little things – like reordering checks – that can, unfortunately, turn into bigger problems.  It’s never convenient or economical to run out of checks, especially given the fact that rush re-orders usually carry an additional charge.

Fortunately, Quicken has a reminder you can set to help yourself remember to reorder your laser checks. Simply set up a Check Reorder Reminder from Set Up Alerts and when you print a check that matches or exceeds the reminder check number, a pop-up window will open to remind you to reorder.

The best way to use the reminder option is to ‘plan for contingencies’ and give yourself enough time to reorder before your supply runs out.  In other words, if your current supply of checks will run out with check #500, list #450 in the reminder field so that you’ll still have 50 checks left at the time you reorder… plenty of time to cover shipping and other potential time delays.
